Message from Our Principal: Epiphany

Source: Our Lady of Sorrows Academy

Dear Families and Friends,

Happy Epiphany! We have entered a new season in the Liturgical year. The season of the Nativity of Our Lord is the time we contemplate the Incarnation of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Hypostatic Union, and this Mystery of the Person of Our Lord Jesus Christ. All of these mysteries are spectacular expressions of the love and mercy of God towards us all. "God so loved the world as to send His only begotten Son."

The Epiphany brings to us a new focus. The Three Wiseman following upon a star have come to acknowledge the King of kings. Sts. Balthazar, Melchior, and Caspar brought gold, kingship, divinity, and humanity of Our Lord. The way that they were able to find this King was following a star. The star of Bethlehem guided these pagan kings to their God.

The Academy works to make the students into stars for the world. Not in the modern sense of movie stars, rock stars, or sports stars. The students are formed here at the Academy to be stars which lead people and society to Our Lord Jesus Christ: Bright lights in the darkness around them which point out the way to the King of peace.

We appreciate your prayers for the success of the Academy in transforming these children into the stars of the modern world.

In the Infant King,
Fr. Samuel Fabula
Principal
