New School Year With A New Principal

Source: Our Lady of Sorrows Academy

Dear Academy Students, Parents and Friends,

Seeing firsthand the work of the Catholic Church taking place every day at Our Lady of Sorrows Academy is a sign of hope. While the primary beneficiaries of the formation given here is the students, education affects all of us. In a short time, I have learned what makes our school so unique and such a beautiful, sacred, and worthwhile place of formation.

Among the instruments God uses for this significant task are the Priests, Brothers, and Consoling Sisters. These are treasures that so few schools have – even Catholic schools. The Priests and Brothers teach in and out of the classroom and sanctify the souls of the students at the altar and in the confessional. In just a few weeks, I have also seen the incredible impact and example of the Consoling Sisters and their dedication and contagious joy.

The second category of tools are the staff and faculty. While they have a variety of backgrounds, temperaments and years of experience, they all share the same approach. The determined goal of every effort they make is the formation of both body and soul of each student into the ideal – Jesus Christ.

Finally, being that they are the primary educators, I have been impressed by our many Academy parents and the sacrifices that they have made to give priority of place to the best Catholic formation possible for their children. I want to encourage them to continue in the great work that God is doing in their families.

We have every reason to be grateful for these gifts. This gratitude will be reflected by our collective effort to be the best instruments in God’s hands namely through ensuring our own sanctification. Looking forward to a great year!

In the Sorrowful Virgin,
Fr. Daniel Dailey
Principal, FSSPX
