Fundraising
At the heart of Catholic education is the desire to make it accessible to all who wish to participate.
While tuition is charged at Our Lady of Sorrows, a great portion of both our operating expenses and facility / teaching improvements is obtained via donations and fundraising.
The ideal, whenever possible, is to not turn away any truly deserving student due to lack of funds. With this vision in mind, OLOSA schedules various fundraising activities throughout the year, and asks for the parents' support in making the difference in many students' lives.
Jog-A-Thon
The annual Jog-A-Thon is a vital part of the overall fundraising effort, as our leading source of outside donations. Held around Thanksgiving each year, the students request donations from family, friends, and even through soliciting in order to reach their goal.
Academy Auction
The Our Lady of Sorrows Academy Auction - formerly known as the St. Joseph Table Auction - is one of the premiere fundraisers for the Academy.
Hundreds of items are available annually in both a live and silent auction. Past items range from Hawaii trips, sports packages, unique services, as well as baskets put together by the students and teachers of the Academy.

Without our generous donors' ongoing gifts, the quality of education achieved by the students could not be reached. Even a simple recurring donation of $5, $20, or $50 per month does wonders when added together with the gifts of others!
