Academy Play: A Murder Is Announced
Upper academy girls in this year's theater performance
On May 10th and 11th, 2024, our Upper Academy Girls gave a riveting performance of Agatha Christie's A Murder is Announced in the Performing Arts Center. The play was directed by our very own Miss Amanda Palmeri, and she reflected on her directing experience with, “Watching the girls come to a comprehension of their characters and assume it wholeheartedly, in order to produce a piece of art, was rewarding and amusing to watch.”
The long hours of rehearsing for this play gave the girls the opportunity to bond and create lifelong memories together. One of the cast members, Meg Murphy (Sophomore), shared, “My favorite part of the play was being able to dress up for the time period with the different hairstyles, dresses and stage make-up because I will never be able to wear it in real life. I had fun with the cast and it was great having Miss Palmeri and Miss Pryor there to help us! It was a once in a life time experience!”
Bravo to the cast and crew!
