Every year the United States District has each school participate in the National Religion Exam. This exam is taken by students at the eighth and twelth grade levels. It is prepared by the district.
The purpose of this exam is:
- for the students to synthesize and apply what they have learned in their religion class so as to arrive at a more unified and profound knowledge of their faith.
- for the school to assist in determining that the religion curriculum as implemented in the school is bringing the students to a true understanding of God and of themselves.
- for the US District to gauge the effectiveness of the religion curriculum and to determine where the District may offer additional assistance or guidance.
This year the exam will focus on the liturgy.
