Our Lady of Sorrows parish celebrated All Saints Day with its customary festivites. First the children in their costumes presented their saints to the judges, Frs. McFarland and Pons, and Br. Alphonsus, who awarded prizes to the best in each age group. A large number of little saints swarmed these judges, making it difficult to choose the winner.
Immediatley aftewards a large celebration was held on the grounds, which included a buffet meal, games of all sorts, prizes and an inordnate amount of sugary delectables. All of the children enjoyed themselves immensely. God blessed the close of the evening with a spectacular sunset.
May each of those present at this feast remember the lessons of all those who have gone through the trial of life, and have been found faithful. And may each of us strive each day to imitate these beautiful virtues as we march on toward our eternal goal.
