Our Lady of Sorrows Academy cordially invites you to our 2022 spring fundraiser to take place on church grounds on Sunday, March 20th from 8am to 1pm.
Academy faculty, parents and students all look forward to welcoming you to our silent auction and raffle while enjoying the pleasant company of Fathers, Brothers and fellow parishioners. The menu selection includes an a-la-carte breakfast, lunch and refreshments; and we would like to treat you to a free mimosa (or maybe even more if you ask nicely).
You'll be surprised by the vast array of unique items to bid on:
A handcrafted wooden 10-foot dining table with two benches made by one of our families, a one-month climbing membership for the family at AZ On the Rocks, and a whiskey tasting and 3-course steak dinner prepared by two fabulous chefs for up to 8 adults, Fr. McFarland and Fr. Burfitt. Expand your horizon and learn a new skill with an intense defensive tactics class offered by a trained professional. Or if you have a calmer disposition, maybe the 20-hour sewing course is the perfect option for you. Oh, and didn't your spouse recently mention that you are due for updated family photos? You should really bid on the 1-hour natural light photography session. We recommend you have your home Enthroned to the Sacred Heart including instructional/preparational books, a $50 certificate to cover the stipend for the priest who performs the Enthronement and Enthronement certificate to be filled out by the priest. For our hikers, there is a $250 Wildland Trekking Company gift certificate with lots of hiking essentials. With so many restaurant gift cards, family outings, religious items, treasures for your home, and treats for your children, there’s sure to be the perfect auction basket for you.
We'll be sure to contact all basket winners, so you don't necessarily need to be present when the winners are announced. However, you need to be present to be eligible for the doorprizes that will be given away that day. The Academy is excited to have you join us for a leisurely morning with wonderful weather!
